Major Story 12 / 5 / 2016

Once again... RRR teamed up with Henderson County Law enforcement and Animal Rescue Corps in an effort to save one horse and numerous dogs and cats found to be living in a horrific situation in Reagan TN.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Animal Rescue Corps, Scotlund Haisley, and the rest of the amazing ARC team for again flying in to Tennessee to save the dogs and cats. Without hesitation, they absolutely risked their own health to bring the animals out of the toxic, deplorable environment.

Sergeant Jeremiah Adams and Officer Katie Carroll were instrumental in this rescue. Sgt Adams, with whom we worked closely on the 31 horse rescue a couple of months ago, went ABOVE AND BEYOND by repeatedly entering the house, despite the hazards of the toxic ammonia levels; they were so intense that even with masks, the odor and toxicity caused vomiting.

We are so proud to say that, as of 7pm last night, the horse, who WAS living on a rope tied that was tied around her neck, has been safely transported to the RRR quarantine area and all the dogs and cats are comfortably on their way to Animal Rescue Corps' emergency shelter.

Despite the heartbreaking discovery of seven animals who were dead on the scene before rescue teams arrived, the remaining ones are safe, warm, fed and loved tonight. Please say a prayer for them, that they all make it through the rest of the journey.

Thank you for supporting RRR, ARC and Henderson County Law Enforcement!
